Elliot Gornall, former kindergarten teacher for the Loudonville-Perrysville School District, plead guilty on October 29, 2015 to 181 counts of illegal use of minors in nudity-oriented material. Ashland County Judge Ronald Forsthoefel sentenced Gornall to 56 years in prison.

Gornall was initially under investigation for receiving illegal drugs through the mail. The search of Gornall’s residency led to the discovery of children’s underwear, sexual addiction books, used tissues, and a laptop computer. The laptop computer contained downloaded images of child pornography as well as personally filmed video of children using the restroom.

The videos were taken from a recording device in the bathroom next to Gornall’s kindergarten classroom. The recording device, a  “pinpoint camera,” was transmitting the video to Gornall’s personal laptop computer.

Evidence later revealed that the children’s underwear found in Gornall’s bedroom belonged to several his students, which he obtained by requesting back-up clothing in case of an emergency.
